Batch breaks collarbone in game on Friday, is this Pep's chance to get a job?
After all, Tomlin has to have some familiarity with him and the Steelers only have Dennis Dixon and Mike Potts, two rookies on the roster after Big Ben.

If he hadn't played for the Dolphins already he would have already had a job right now.

Byron Leftwich is landing in Pitt today for a workout....Pep will have to wait a little longer for his phone to ring

Pennington signed with the Dolphins if you weren't aware

Dixon looked good last night in his pre-season game but your right they won't go into the season with him at the #2 spot, or at least I don't think they will.
It will probably be Leftwich...

Heard on Sirius they guys were talking and said that if Leftwich (tenured Vet) is on the roster opening day, he can claim a one time termination clause and get paid for the full year.
I thought that was interesting.
It makes the decision to bring in a guy like Left or Pep into camp a costly addition.
From what it sounds like, Leftwich will be the guy.

Daunte is trying to get a contract as a Madden 2002 Xbox Pro after setting the 2 minute drill world record high score. His agent (himself again) is holding tough at 2 six packs of Red Bull and 2 tubes of Pringles, the only offer so far is a drumstick from a Madden truducken from 2002.

If Leftwich doesn't get the job I am pretty sure they will interview Culpepper. He needs to get an agent because who turns down 1 mil to be a 1 year back up? haha dumb@$$
