Philadelphia rookie wideout Hank Baskett made an outstanding diving catch on a 33-yard pass from McNabb to Cleveland's 2, but Philadelphia's opening drive stalled and the Eagles settled for a 22-yard field goal by David Akers.

Good for him; maybe he'll make the team in Philly...he certainly wouldn't have in MN.

KRob, TTaylor, Williamson and MRob. That's 4 receivers. The other 2 or 3 slots are WIDE OPEN. Baskett would have been in play for one of those, that's for sure.

That's not entirely true.. It's more like Koren Robinson, Troy Williamson, Travis Taylor, Billy McMullen and Marcus Robinson at the moment. I don't think Baskett would have been handed the #4 spot on the depth chart like McMullen has. And boognish has a point, we can only speculate about what might have been. That being said, I wish we kept Baskett, and the more he succeeds with the Eagles, the dumber Childress and the Vikings look for trading him.

He certainly has a better chance to shine. Philly has nobody, so he could make his way up the depht chart. Sure, he isn't better than Jason Avant (Michigan homer), but he could be better than what they have.

I was hoping that Baskett would have been here. I saw video footage of him at New Mexico and he looked solid. Well good luck to him anyway.

Okay, I'll rephrase...he might have made the team here in MN, but likely wouldn't have seen the field outside of a special teams situation. In Philly, he might have a real chance to become their #3 receiver. It just seems like a better situation for him.

Agreed...it's kind too bad that it is better for him there, but it would be selfish of us to want him to waste away on our depth chart if he really has a shot somewhere else.
