The Associated Press reports police released surveillance videos from the weekend stabbing of Baltimore Ravens LB Roderick Green. They have asked the public to call with information about the crime. Green was at the Kings Point bowling alley early Sunday, July 9, when he bumped into another bowler, leading to an altercation. Green tried to break it off and left the bowling alley, but the man came after him and stabbed him in the parking lot. Police also want to interview a witness that is shown walking down the sidewalk immediately after the stabbing.

Baltimore County police yesterday released a surveillance video showing Ravens reserve linebacker Roderick Green being chased by his alleged attacker after being stabbed outside a Baltimore County bowling center.

County police said they released the video in hopes that someone will help them identify the suspect in the stabbing early Sunday morning at the Kings Point Lanes bowling center in Randallstown. Investigators also want to talk to a man, described as a witness, who is seen in the video.

The footage - a series of still frames that is 40 seconds long - shows Green running just outside the bowling center with a smaller man in pursuit. The witness is then seen walking in the same direction.

Police who have analyzed the video, taken from a bowling center security camera, believe it shows the suspect with a weapon or a sharp object in his hand, police spokeswoman Vickie Warehime said.

Green, 24, was hospitalized after being stabbed in the stomach about 1 a.m. Sunday. He was released Monday from Sinai Hospital, and he said the injury would not prevent him from participating in training camp, which begins July 27 at McDaniel College.

Green and a man accidentally bumped into each other in the bowling center, leading to a heated argument, police said. Green reportedly left the building, but the suspect followed him outside and stabbed him once, police said.

Green outran the suspect, got into a friend's car and was driven to his Owings Mills home, where he called police.

The suspect was described as a black man, 18 to 20 years old, 5 feet 10, with a thin build and a clean-shaven head, wearing sunglasses, a dark T-shirt with a white design on the front and long, black shorts. The witness was described as a black man wearing a white T-shirt and tan shorts.

Anyone with information should call Baltimore County police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-LOCKUP.

Ravens Lb Green In Good Condition After Being Stabbed

    July 10, 2006

    By SportsTicker

RANDALLSTOWN, Maryland (Ticker) - Baltimore Ravens reserve linebacker Roderick Green is in good condition Monday at Sinai Hospital, one day after being stabbed in the parking lot of a bowling alley.

According to police, Green was involved in an altercation with another man at Kings Point bowling alley. When Green left the alley, the man came after him and stabbed him in the parking lot.

The Ravens have not issued a statement on Green's condition, although a hospital spokeswoman said he is listed in good condition.

A fifth-round pick in 2004 out of Central Missouri State, Green had two sacks in 16 games last season after playing in just nine games as a rookie.

The 6-2, 245-pound Green is a backup to starters Adalius Thomas and Bart Scott at outside linebacker.
