    The Atlanta Julio Jones trade.

What are your opinions on the trade Atlanta pulled off to get Jones? If I heard it right it was basically 2 1sts, a second and 2 4ths to get him?

Dang it, that seems like a whole lot to give up for one guy. I understand they probably felt they would be drafting high enough that a 1st was close to a second but man, that is a lot of lost picks. I am so glad the Vikings didn't move up to grab a QB even though it seems they could have traded out of the first and still got one of the two guys they wanted.

They have a scary offense.. I had them going WR with Torrey Smith in their spot, but they felt the need to move up..

I like it.. Move to get your guy..

As a Vikings fan, I love the trade. They could win it all next year, but if they don't, they're in a position they can't improve for awhile.

This team was on their way but shot themselves in the head.

Falcons did what they needed to do to get the guy they wanted. They might just be 1 or 2 players away from the Superbowl. They had 14 wins last year and had injuries that kept them from a playoff win.

It is a lot to pay and I would be raging if our team did something like that because moving up is always a bad idea, but good for you Atlanta. The browns will waste those draft picks on busts anyways.

I remember when we were just a RB away from a SB and traded some picks and players to get him. Man, winning that SB was great........

Not a smart move by Atlanta in my opinion. The guy might be good but I feel they gave up too much for one player as if it doesn't push them to that SB then they will suffer in the next couple of years.
Definitely SB or bust in Atlanta this year.

Exciting player but they gave up a ton and have effectively put all their eggs in one basket aka this season, and the doc called it a few posts up, if they do fail then they're in no position to improve the team via the draft next year. Big risk.

Judging by how many times I've heard on here how most of you crave a trade up, I would have thought this move would have met with more support.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

Who are you talking about and did they say anything about giving up that many picks?

I believe you are the one who was promoting giving up 2 1sts for Kolb and it seems there was not a whole lot of people backing the idea.
