ESPN.com's John Clayton reports the Green Bay Packers visited with free agent LB LaVar Arrington (Redskins) Monday, April 10. Signing Arrington or free agent CB Charles Woodson (Raiders) may be what QB Brett Favre is looking for before he commits to playing the 2006 season. Arrington left without an offer while the Packers decide what to do. Arrington was excited enough about the visit that he wanted to talk to Favre.

I just heard this on the local (WI) news and then found this on the espn message board.

I bet Arrington is just excited to get someone else in on the bidding since nobody is willing to pay him as much as he thinks he is worth.

The funny things is that Favre will probably look at that and decide to come back if they did sign him..... the funnier thing is that it won't help their piss poor offense one bit.

the packers signing Arrington would be bait to bring Favre back and nothing more...........I am a die hard Vikes fan but can also say that Favre is a future HOF QB and it has been a long and fun ride. He needs to just walk away and get it over with............I hope that Favre doesnt tarnish his legacy any more than he already has by dragging this thing out any longer.
