    Kinda BS imo

"Liba said Campbell was allowed to enter the draft 'in good faith.'"

    Really?
What, in good faith that he wouldn't make the team?

Maybe Campbell contacted the Lt Col Liba and ask him to rescue him from Matt Millen and the Lions

I thought it was kinda weird that the Army would even let him leave to play in the NFL ... I guess the Department of Defense did too.

That sucks for the kid. He got a huge ovation at the draft and if he would have gotten the chance I am sure he would have made the team. I hope he still gets a chance to play in the NFL

He wouldn't be leaving the Army.
Rather than serving active duty, he would be a recruiter/spokesman for the Army.
What is more important, having 1 more pair of boots on the ground, or having someone with access to millions of young people promoting the Army through the NFL?
The true measure of a man is what he'd do knowing he'd never be found out.
