    Anyone else wonder...

    why they don't show the coin toss anymore? I never really noticed that they stopped doing it until they were talking about Jim Marshall being at the coin toss as an honorary captain in the 49ers game.

    It is all about the advertising money.
    Now if somebody were to sponsor the coin toss, then maybe we'd get to watch them for every game.

    I don't recall that they've evern shown the coin-toss for regular Sunday day games.

    I'm not sure... I think it's one of those things I've taken for granted so I don't even notice. You're probably right though.

    The league should talk to the US Mint and see if they want to sponsor the coin toss.

    I've seen the coin toss at the SB, because they make a special coin.
    I also remember coin tosses when there are celeberity honorary captains, where it is big news.
