Al Harris Is A Free Agent
Randy Moss is not the only 30-something superstar who has recently been waived. The Former Green Bay Packers cornerback Al Harris was not claimed off waivers which makes Al Harris A Free Agent.
I've read that the Vikings is in negotiations with Harris' agent, but it's only rumors at the moment.
Do the Vikings really need another washed up, injury riddled former Pro Bowl cornerback?

As bad as our secondary has been, it wouldn't surprise me.
But I'm still calling him "Whoopie"...even if we sign him.

I've always thought he was a good player, but thought he was a cocky arrogant bastard as well.
I always wanted to see "Whoopie" dragged down by his dreadlocks after a pick.
Who knows what kind of player he'll after this knee injury.

Re: Al Harris Is A Free Agent
I wanted this guy because Allen and Lito are not very good. Cook is also not 100% IMO. The only problem is that Harris is a physical bump guy. We all know Childress and company don't know how to use these guys.
Re: Al Harris Is A Free Agent
You run cover two.
He was having trouble in our zone coverage scheme.
He's pure bump and run. I was surprised that the Vikes were reportedly interested. He had lost a step prior to the injuries (imo) and was becoming an increasing liability (again, imo) with that lost step, because he isn't the kind of player that is going to allow himself to get "beat" if at all possible. That gets expensive in the penalty department.
He's got heart, and we will always love him in Green Bay, but I honestly don't see how he was a good fit in Minnesota.
As an aside, that is about the 800th time that vid of AD posterizing Al has been put on this forum, and for the 800th time, I'm gonna remind you that we kicked your ass that day :P

Re: Al Harris Is A Free Agent
IF Harris is healthy then it is a very good pick up by the Dolphins, however I can't help feeling that if he was healthy and able to play anywhere near the level he was before then I doubt he would have been cut in the first place, especially given the injury problems the Pack have had this season.
Time will tell on this one.
