Jaguars defensive back Ahmad Carroll was arrested after he was pointed out to police as being involved in a disturbance at a restaurant. And then it got worse:
Re: Jaguar & Ex-Packer Ahmad Carroll Arrested
I wonder what the disturbance at the restaurant was that he was involved with, that warranted it to be a felony?
Re: Jaguar & Ex-Packer Ahmad Carroll Arrested
Why is it with all the money these guys make, you repeatedly here that they carry or own a weapon without a license/permit?
Where are they getting these guns?
Re: Jaguar & Ex-Packer Ahmad Carroll Arrested
WOW! Just WOW! After all of the house cleaning they did down there you know Jack can't be happy.
Too bad I always liked him as a player and a coach.

Probably the same place Michael Vick finds his roomates and this guy gets his ecstasy.
The hood.
Most states allow private sale of guns within the state and Florida particularly does.
I doubt he falls under the few situations where he isn't able to get a permit to carry, so my question is why the hell does this guy and others not get the permits.
Or at least leave them in the car.

That's what I was asking. I find it hard to believe that even though you are allowed to buy & sell guns privately in certain states, you are not required by law to register it or get a license to carry it.

Good to see NFL teams are getting smart and getting rid of their crap quickly.
If the Bengals did that they wouldn't have a team.

I think you answered your second question with your first question.

AZ you just need a valid state id and you are all set to carry your gun. I remember being here in the late 80s and seeing guys with guns at McDonalds. Did it freak me out yea a little.
Heck you use to be able to carry pretty much whereever you wanted. Really Earlier 90s this started to change [gang bangers from CA].
However if you moved to AZ you would just need a valid state issused ID and this is your license to carry a weapon.
Now conceled weapons are a different story you need to get training and cannot have certain criminal charges on your record.
Last in AZ if you are convicted of a felony. Once you have completed your sentence and it was a non-violent act. You are allowed to carry a gun again. However you do need to file some court papers to get it approved. It could be denied.
I'm sure FL or TX are very much the same in the lack of registration required.
Once again I hate to bring this up. But if Tank Johnson had lived in AZ which is were he purchased all his gun. His charges would be a non-issuse.
I'm sure a lot of the registration requirements in the ILL area have to do with old anti-mob laws.
But yea SingerSP there is still a lot of states with pro-gun laws.
