Aaron Rodgers playing for a payday

Packers leave Rodgers playing for a payday

BY ROB DEMOVSKY • rdemovsk@greenbaypressgazette.com • May 18, 2008

By now, everyone has heard Mike McCarthy and Ted Thompson say it repeatedly.

“Aaron (Rodgers) is the guy,” Thompson, the Green Bay Packers’ general manager, said most recently during last month’s draft....

That’s among the lowest 2008 base salaries of NFL starting quarterbacks. Only seven projected 2008 starters will make less than Rodgers this season. Only one projected NFC starting quarterback, Minnesota’s Tarvaris Jackson ($445,000)
That's actually pretty nice, especially if he progresses... which we all expect him to do

Re: Aaron Rodgers playing for a payday

The Grand Sierra Resort sports book in Reno, Nev., recently attached an over/ under figure of 9½ regular-season wins to the Green Bay Packers for the 2008 season.
Sounds like a good bet, but who want to wait that long to claim that bet.

Take the under.

8 wins at the most.

We have been underpaying at the QB position for some time now.

Well it's not like TJ deserves a big fat contract but if the numbers gp up so will the salary

That would be my guess also.
