25 years since Joe Delaney (KC RB) sacrificed his life to save others

    http://www.kansascity.com/sports/chiefs/story/683794.html

Joe Delaney, a 24 year old RB for the Chiefs, died 25 years ago Sunday while trying to save three boys from drowning.
This is a great story about that selfless act...

    Thanks my friend.
What a excellent (albeit sad) read.

I never heard of this guy before.

Rodney was 24. He left behind two children, Ranerika and Rodney. For the second consecutive generation, children with Joe Delaney’s blood running through their veins would grow up without a father.
    Again, very sad.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

I remember it well...hard to believe it's 25 years. Delaney was a good runner.

Here are the stats for his 2 years in the NFL:

I ran across an article about Delaney about 8 or so months ago.
    It is a sad happening..
but at least he wasn't hit by a drunken driver or anything stupid like that (R.I.P. Sealy).

PFT.com even has an award named after Delaney.
