2008 NFL Preseason Football Rankings - The Top 10 Teams

OVERRATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!8. Green Bay Packers. Aaron Rodgers may not erase the memory of Brett Favre this year, but he’s going to silence the doubters by week 4 of the season. Besides, the Packers receivers are good enough that even Ryan Leaf could look good throwing to them.

This happens with one team or another every year. First everyone jumps on the bandwagon ... and then everyone gets hesitant and jumps off. I imagine we will be on most top ten lists closer to the season start.

Damn, Vikings ranked 6th in the NFC?
Seems a tad low.

Not a bad assesment.
Even if Eli hasn't seen the light and with the issues with Shockey, 10 is a bit low.
I still wonder about Rivers and if he has finally got over the hump and will be consistent. Guess both the Giants and the Chargers are happy with how that all worked out now.
;DMany many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: 2008 NFL Preseason Football Rankings - The Top 10 Teams
I really don’t think that the seahawks or saints deserve to be in the top 10.
The saints have a good QB in Brees and WR in Cholston, but aside from that they are a fairly mediocre team 9-7 my guess cause the NFC south is so wishy-washy.
Their RB situation changes from game to game and you never know what injury is going to kill their season.
The seahawks, c’mon.
I don’t care if it is a preseason poll.
You cannot preface a discussion about a team bein gin the top 10 with “if they get their ground game figured outâ€Â.
You need to have an established game to be successful in the NFL.
Even the Pats had a concrete running game, even if it was secondary to their passing attack.
The Seahawks and Saints are maybe the 5-7 best teams in the NFC.
I think Carolina and us both deserve top 10 recognition over both of those teams.

LMFAO, the Saint's?
Might as well put the Bears on there.
The Saints have one of the worst defenses in the league.
I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

I would not place the Vikings any higher in rank until they actually show something on the field.
So their ranking sounds appropriate for a pre season ranking. What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. Its the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

Steelers and Saints are way too high in the ranking.
Here would be mine:
1. Patriots
2. Colts
3. Giants
4. Chargers
5. Vikings
6. Jaguars
7. Seahawks
8. Eagles
9. Cowboys
10. Redskins
The two teams that I think could surprise people this year are the Eagles and Jaguars. I think that the Jags are going to be a good team that can go far.
