    Re: 2008 Hall of Famers

First and foremost, I was happy to see Monk FINALLY get his due. MUCH too long of a wait. I also think that Green was rightfully voted in.

    NOW TIME TO VENT !!!!!!!!!!

WHAT IN THEE PURPLE HELL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carter was a first ballot hall of famer... PERIOD !!!!

Every Vikings fan know his #'s, and all the all-pro and pro-bowl seasons he had, the career reception numbers, I wonder what the voters were thinking when he was passed over...

I'm VERY glad Zimmerman got in. When I was entering my college yrs back in the 1987, he was an All Pro with the Vikes and on a personal level, was one of MY favorite Vikings. I only HOPE that the Vikings recognize him as a HOF'er and list him with Grant , Page, Eller, and the other greats we have in there. AND NOT as " a HOF'er who spent time with the Vikings, like Dave Casper, Warren Moon, etc. HE WAS A GREAT VIKING !!! And he too "should" of been in a couple seasons back.Thankfully his wait wasn't too long..

    BUT MCDANIEL GOT BURNED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you put the amount of probowl and all pro seasons he had and attach them to a QB, WR, or RB, HE WOULD
BE A FIRST BALLOT HALL OF FAMER !!!!!!!
    What BULL$HIT !!!!!!!

I think I was more upset that for the 2nd straight year he was BURNED than Carter's MISJUSTICE...
I ll be dead and cold before I m green and gold

    Thanks to PPE for sig

Carter got absolutely FUCKING raped! Sorry for my language but c'mon! When the guy retired the only person ahead of him on nearly every receiving record was Rice! What a bunch of BS. I am so pissed off he got snubbed!
Yeah, I swore a lot when I heard too....

Good read why Carter didn't make the Hall Of Fame according to one writer:

    http://www.realgmfootball.com/src_feature/266/20080204/hall_of_shame/

t's pretty obvious that players like Cris Carter and Derrick Thomas are far more worthy of a spot in Canton than say, Art Monk and Andre Tippett.

That's why I could care less about the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

It's not about who deserves to go in -- it's all about ego and good old-fashioned reverence among the Hall's 44-person Board of Selectors... Not for the players mind you -- the selectors.

No city in pro football proves that more than Minneapolis.

    Wow, great read.
Just shows how dumb the whole election process is.
Not to mention backing up my deep hatred for Sid Hartman and all his "good friends".

I've been saying it for as long as I've been on this place........

The Twin Cities sports hacks are nothing but jokes. If you have good reporters, thier stuff is picked up nationally.
Very little drivel that comes out of the Twins Cities is ever picked up and as far as I can tell, none of them are respected anywere.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg
