    2008-'09 Div. Round Playoff Predictions

Did a search for this topic and nothing came up.
    Here are mine:

Baltimore 20 Tennessee 16 - It could be a larger margin of victory.
Tennessee faded late in the reg. season.
Baltimore has a legitimate shot to go all the way to the Super Bowl.
This team won a SB in 2000 with an offense which went 6 consecutive weeks w/o scoring an offensive TD.
This offense is much better than that one.
This defense is as good or better.
HEY CHILLY, see what a good coach can do for a 4-12 team which gave the 1-15 Dolphins their only win last season???
And Harbaugh is a ROOKIE and did it with a freakn' ROOKIE QB!!!
Ed Reed will go down as the BEST safety in the history of the NFL, bar none, and will be regarded as one of the best defensive players ever.

Carolina 31 Arizona 14 - This could end up a much bigger blow-out.
Just as the Vikes ended up being exposed after winning a division with a collective 25-39 record, the same will apply here.
The Cards won a division with a woeful 22-42 collective record.
    Just pitiful.
The Packers could have won that division, FCOL!

Philadelphia 23 New York Giants 20 - This could be an overtime game.
I believe the Eagles are the last team the Giants want to face here.
Just like the 2007 Patriots, the Giants peaked much too early and lost all momentum by going 1-3 down the stretch. At 1pm on the final reg. season Sunday, the Eagles were pretty much out of playoff contention.
Nobody was picking the Raidahs to upset the Bucs.
The Eagles were gifted a new life.
They beat the Giants in the Meadowlands late in the reg. season and have all the momentum going for them.
These teams know each other well.
The real pressure is sqarely on the Giants.

Steelers 26 Chargers 17 - You've got to give the Chargers props for not "folding like lounge chairs' when they sat at 4-8.
They seem like a team of destiny.
However, almost every west coast team traveling to the east coast was destined to lose this season.
I loved P. Rivers at NC State and dreamed of him wearing purple.
I truly believe San Diego got the better deal in that draft.
(I realize Eli won the SB.
Given the same exact situation, I believe Rivers would have doene the same.)

    I'll skip
all the playoff games left and just say now who I think the Super Bowl will be played by.
Even though we are done for the year, I believe we are in for a Humm Dinger of a Super Bowl..

    An ALL PA. Super Bowl...
    Steelers VS Eagles....

I LOVE THE SMELL OF VICTORY IN THE MORNING AIR.

This is the best weekend for football. These are always the best games of the year and I cannot wait.
    Steelers, Ravens, Eagles, Carolina.
    We're bringing purple back.

As one of the resident birds fans on this board, I am praying for an Eagles Super Bowl this year.

Three out of four ain't bad.

Go back to the Eagles 27 Vikes 16 prediction and that's four out of five.

Nobody outside of 'Zona had the Cards winning.
