I definately agree with your prediction for the Iggles.my guarantees:
1. Bengals barely miss the playoffs again.
2. Chiefs look like a playoff caliber team with 5-2 record to start but end the season 9-7.
3. Eagles lose to Washington and the Cowboys at least once each in the season. They will not be a force this year.
4. Vick will only have three good throwing games and be listed as the best QB ever. (sarcasm)
5. Both the Vikes and the lions will win both games against the pack.
6. Playoff teams: (no particular order)
Vikes, Eagles, Cowboys, Arizona, Carolina, Atlanta
Texans, Colts, Patriots, Steelers, Chargers, Cheifs
7. Bennett has a 1300 yard rushing season.
some of my predictions are bold, but i really think Texas will have two teams in the playoffs this year.
And I'm definately with you in the Vick thing. I'm very tired of the media praising him like he's the second coming when he hasn't shown he's a good QUARTERBACK yet in his entire career.

Re: 2005 NFL Predictions
Well, I went through each game, and decided who I thought would win it. Then I tallied up the team records at the end. Mind you, I did this rather quickly, by gut instinct, trying to remember how each team did last year, and what changes they've made. In other words, it's highly probable that I missed something. In any case, here's what I came up with:
AFC
North:
Ravens: 12-4
Steelers: 10-6 (wildcard)
Bengals: 7-9
Browns: 1-15
South:
Colts: 13-3
Titans: 10-6
Jaguars: 10-6
Texans: 7-9
East:
Patriots: 12-4
Jets: 5-11
Bills: 5-11
Dolphins: 4-12
West:
Chiefs: 14-2
Chargers: 12-4 (wildcard)
Raiders: 9-7
Broncos: 9-7
NFC
North:
Vikings: 13-3
Lions: 8-8 (wildcard)
Packers: 7-9
Bears: 5-11
South:
Panthers: 10-6
Buccaneers: 8-8 (wildcard)
Saints: 7-9
Falcons: 6-10
East:
Eagles: 11-5
Giants: 6-10
Redskins: 5-11
Cowboys: 5-11
West:
Cardinals: 8-8
Rams: 7-9
Seahawks: 6-10
49ers: 4-12
I guess my instinct feels that the AFC will be much stronger this year, with 10 of 16 being better than .500. I also don't have 1 division in the NFC that has more than one team over .500. The biggest disparity I have is between the two western conferences. I have all four of the AFC west teams above .500, while everyone in the NFC west is at or below .500. I have a feeling I have some refining to do.

Re: 2005 NFL Predictions
Like I said, there are assome things to be tweaked. This was gut instinct, and I guess my gut doesn't like the Giants. However, I still don't see them winning the division; maybe the wildcard (in place of the Bucs), but not the division.

They lost both their coordinators, their best defensive player in Tedy Bruschi, their best O-lineman in Joe Andruzzi, they have a huge target on their back, they didn't have a very good draft, Seymour, their best D-lineman is holding out, and IMO they haven't done well in free agency."JDogg926" wrote:
can you give me a explanation on why the Patriots will miss the playoffs? :scratch:5 Things that I'm almost willing to guarantee this year:
1. The Arizona Cardinals win the NFC West.
2. The Patriots and Steelers both miss the playoffs.
3. The Vikings take their division and a first round bye in the playoffs.
4. The Lions make the playoffs, WC obviously.
5. The Packers won't reach .500.
Yes, they still have Brady, Dillon, and Belichick, but they don't have the supporting cast this year to continue their run.
I believe the Raiders will beat them to open the season. I think Oakland will come out hot, but fade fast and miss the playoffs. They just don't have the D.542cbf305f333b0554e8ffa937f852d6
