    this had me LMAO

paired with very knowledgeable New England fanbase, makes it extremely difficult to win a game up there.

This is a myth. Do you really think that the RCA Dome has made the Colts hard to beat ? Or was it Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne ? The Colts played in that same house when they were 3-13.

Well... they have a lot louder fan-base now because of it, so it's probably more difficult now. But I agree with what you're saying.

Also... Jacksonville? Seriously? Oh, it must be all those tarp-covered seats making the noise.

This is one of those bogus cause and effect things. It is like when people say "chemistry turns teams into winners". No, it is the opposite: winning creates chemistry. Ditto with stadiums. A winning team makes the "house" "hard to play in".

Denver used to be one of the hardest places to play, but most NFL teams can now go in there and beat the "Donkeys".

Another aspect is that most professional players "zone out" or "block out" the fans. If you hear players talk about this, they will say things like "I just block them out, it was like the fans were not there".
