Re: 10 NFL players on hot seat

This list does not seem very accurate Rookies are Rookies...Bumps, bruises and mistakes with some success is gonna be had (minimal).Except for guys who made a name for themselves in their rookie seasons a list too huge to bring up.
    Where's Rex Grossman,Edgerin James,
    just to name a few.

Pretty weak list, but I do agree with Chad Johnson.

I know a lot of people don't like Chad's mouth, but I think he'd be a very welcome addition to the Vikings.

    Imagine
#1 Chad Johnson, #2 Benard Berrian, #3 Sidney Rice...

mentioned in the article, Rex Grossman's "chair has already burned to the ground"

I think if there are any rookies taht should be there, then its Matt Ryan.
This guy is expected to come in and somehow magically fix the Falcons awful Offensive situation, and if he doens't it won't be a happy place in Falconland.
Guys like Jake Long though have no business being on that list.

Not sure why someone can label a rookie on the hot seat and why the leading rusher and a career high season for a WR belongs on that list.

    Agree:
    Reggie Bush
    Matt Lienart
    Donovan McNabb
    Aaron Rodgers

    Undecided:
    Roy Williams

I know some don't agree but I think TJ belongs on that list.
matt ryan and jake long are on the list because of their contracts
Matt Forte is on the list because of the situation he is in, replacing the wasted one.
85 is on cause hes a dickhead
and LT is on it because of the playoff game when he was sitting on the sidelines with his helmet on, and coming back from an injury

Re: 10 NFL players on hot seat

I think the term "hot seat" is poorly used.
    I would say "under pressure".

Bush hasn't lived up to the hype... the media put him under the pressure.

Rookies especially Ryan and Long who got BIG $$$ are under pressure to prove they are worth it.
Which as rookies they won't be worth it.

Leinart and McNabb are suppose to be on teams good enough to make the playoffs if the QB's can get their act together, very much like are own TJ.

    Forte?
    Who's expecting anything?
Sure he's suddenly a starter, but the Bears are far from great.
    Grossman/Orton are under more pressure.

    LT?
I can see that he's important to the team to get to the SB, but putting it all on him is stupid.

Chad just puts himself under pressure with his mouth.

    Roy Williams... who really cares?
He's the product of the Cowboy media frenzy.
Put him on any other team and he wouldn't even considered.

Rodgers is under the most pressure by far, trying to replace Farve, based on the assumption the GB team is good enough to get to the playoffs.
I don't think they are even if Rodgers plays OK.
The current Farve situation will hang on him the whole season, unless Farve comes back to GB and Rodgers is then under no pressure.

    I initially agreed with you.
    I thought it was absurd.
But, then, looking at their situations in the past..
It makes a little bit of sense.
How many times have the Chargers gotten to the playoffs with a strong regular season record?
    What did LT do?
Honestly, I don't know and I'm too lazy to look them stats up.
But I can understand Charger fans frustrations.

On the other hand, you can't put all that blame on your future HoF HB..
    Where's Rivers' share?
