10 Most Frustrated Sports Cities

6. Minneapolis/St. Paul
The Vikings have gone 0-for-4 in the Super Bowl, losing big each time. The Timberwolves have never won the NBA title. The Wild, following the lead of the departed North Stars, haven't won the Stanley Cup.
And the Twins, despite their recent upturn, haven't won a World Series since the fabulous 1991 showdown with Atlanta. Stuck in the outdated Metrodome, the team was the subject of sale, moving and contraction rumors for 15 years until the new stadium initiative finally succeeded.
RECURRING NIGHTMARES: Bill Masterton's fatal injury as a North Star; Drew Pearson's push-off in the '75 NFC playoffs; Fran Tarkenton's Super Bowl stage fright; Jon Casey whiffing against Mario Lemieux in the Stanley Cup Finals; the ill-fated Herschel Walker trade; the training camp death of Vikings lineman Korey Stringer.
DEPARTURES: Lakers, North Stars, Billy Martin, Rod Carew, Bobby Smith, three first-round and three-second round Vikings draft picks (in the Walker deal), Randy Moss, Robert Smith
Re: 10 Most Frustrated Sports Cities
The Bills are number one, and deservedly so.
After the loss in Super Bowl XXV, Scott Norwood tried to shoot himself.
Fortunately he missed, wide right. ;D

What do most Northern Ohio sports fans know about world championships? What their parents or grandparents told them
That could end very soon now that they have a King.
Re: 10 Most Frustrated Sports Cities
Buffalo?
WTF?
What a retarded list.
Cleveland has no had a championship for a long fricken time.
1948 was the last time they won the World Series and in 1964 was their last NFL Championship.
Hell, the Bills won the the AFL Championship in 1964 and 1965.
Cleveland has basketball as well where they have not won dick.
Cleveland in the saddest sports town period.
Buffulo just the dumbest for losing 4 SB's in a row.

The Cavs made the playoffs with regularity in the early 90's.
The Indians were in the World Series in 1995 and are currently leading the AL Central.
All Buffalo has are the 4 SB losses and Brett Hull's skate in the crease.

Sporting News did a similiar thing a few years ago and Cleveland was #1 by a long shot.
They looked at championships and team years.
Look at how many years of pro teams Cleveland has compared to Buffalo.
Hell, by your reasoning...at least Buffalo made it to the SB.

I guess I'm still poisoned by the Drew Carey show and "Cleveland Rocks!"
Does Lake Erie still burn?

At least they didn't bring up Darrin Nelsons dropped pass on the goal line in '88 or the only missed FG of the 15-1 '98 season that kept us from the 5th and 6th SB's :-
