By the time the season starts I think a lot of people are going to be expecting huge things out of him, I think he'll do ok, but I'm not getting worked up over any pro-bowls.
I don't think the staff is expecting him to be the answer. I am not either. He is a huge upgrade over Williamson and that is all that matters.

Maybe your not, but there is plenty of people ready to vote him to the pro-bowl.
He'll hopefully help us out, but like I said by the time the season starts I think a whole lot of fans will have BB up on a pedestal and won't think twice of kicking him right back off it and calling him a bust for being average.

im not thinking he gonna be a pro bowler, niether are most people here, most people here believe he is gonna come in and help out our lack lust passing game and open up the box for AD and chester. We are expect SOLID numbers not crappy or amazing numbers. If Tjack pans out this year you could see him getting close to a grand.

    Re: 08 Picks to Flop

I think he'll break some big ones vs. single coverage earlier in the year.
HOPEFULLY, 2 OR 3 IN WEEK 1 ON MNF!!!!!!!
OK, I know that's not realistic.
But seriously, nobody is going to pay our passing game much attention with AP in the backfield unless TJack and our OL and our WRs prove to them that they better.
We'll see 8 or 9 in the box a bunch in the first few weeks, and I think BB will catch a lot more of those wide open deep balls that TWill couldn't reel in.

When they shift a S over BB, Rice and Wade can step in and get us a first down.
If AP is working as hard as I suspect this offseason, I think he improves his all around game, opening up using him more on those third downs in blitz protection, his effectiveness in play action fakes and his recieving ability.
If we get a Clady or Williams in rd1, our pass blocking might actually improve without McDumbmove.
Then, we might really get to see AP go off!!

Who said anything about fans here?
I'm talking about the general population.
New WR a lot of causal fans don't really know gets a huge contract and they just automatically think awesome.
Go out and talk to most the casual Vikings fans, they're expecting big things out of BB.

ANYTHING is better than the non-production that the Vikes got out of Troy Williamson.
That being said, Berrian will do just fine...just as long as no one expects him to be Randy Moss.
IF Berrian only produces at his career levels, I will be satisfied...because Rice will more than pick up the slack.
Just THAT improvement in the passing game, will open things up for the rushing game...and elevate the offense to at or near top-10 territory.
The offensive improvement will also keep the defense fresher...giving them a chance to also elevate their game to top-10 territory.
Exactly. The only good thing Williamson did last year was catch that bomb from TJ in Chicago. My guess is that Bernard will have many highlights.

Alright I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
But those "ignorant" fans are going to be large in numbers, and if BB has a slow start we'll see if the "ignorant" fans and talking heads are going to be okay with average.

I'm hoping for 50+ receptions for about 700+ yds and ~10 TDs.
    I don't think that's too far fetched.
